My Aunt Cathy & Uncle Ron came home from Florida a couple days ago so they stopped by this afternoon. It was so good to see them. I told myself I wasn’t going to cry but as soon as she saw me she starting crying & I can’t help myself once someone else starts. It was a happy cry though. She brought me home a little notebook. On the front it says “Life’s a ride. You’ve gotta buy a ticket, hang on tight and keep going around til they kick ya off.”  She couldn’t get over how good I looked. It’s funny how people expect you to look “sick” when really the only difference is I have no hair and I’m a bit slimmer. She said I should always shave my head, it shows off my face & neck more. I’ll have to think about that one!

I’ve been feeling good this week since I got a blood transfusion and platelets. It was my best friend’s birthday this week so we went out for tapas one night to celebrate. It was nice to get out and have some wine.

Tapas

I’m getting really bored at home now. It’s hard to find stuff to do. I need to find a hobby. Sometimes I bake or cook when I’m bored. I’ve gained about 8lbs in the last couple months so I’m starting to look more like myself. My neutrophils are at 0 so I have to stay away from crowds and avoid busy places. I should be wearing a mask when I go to the hospital just to be safe. About one more month until transplant!
